Do you remember your first day as a business owner?  You were probably just like the rest of us… Pretty darned happy and a little bit on the proud side. When we started we thought we could conquer the world. Now we are so busy trying to conquer our own little corner of the world to pay a lot of attention to the rest of the world… unless it is to learn more tips from the successful marketers who have proven that they are a help. It is tips like these that apply to every market, no matter what product or service, that create motivation to try something new.

1.  Create  a Special Offer
A special offer is exactly that… an offer that is special.  Normally, customers would not be able to purchase this product or combination of products, and once the products are gone, that’s it.  Sorry!!

You don’t have to go out and order a bunch of new products to put together a special offer. It does not take a lot… use what you have on hand. Take a few items that are related, group them together, discount the price, and you have a deal that your customers will be delighted to get. You have sold three or four items rather than one. Combination offers are a win win situation for everyone.

2.  Address the Small Customer Groups

Niche markets are everywhere, right under your nose!  The customer audience that you serve right contains groups of people who share common interests and traits. You might have a group of spanish, a group of teens, a group of middle class, men, women.

You should evaluate these different classes, and discover the unique needs and desires they share.  This will let you customize your advertising campaign directed to them. It is fairly easy to take your current ads, and make a few adjustments for every niche. This will impress them, that you understand them, and will cause an increase in your profits. This is the best thank you that you can get.
3.  Set Up a Winning Referral Program

Most successful marketers have developed the ability to turn their customers into advocates.  Often, they don’t even have to directly ask customers to refer them to others.   The willingness to go the extra mile helps win customer loyalty and support.  Satisfied customers tend to refer family and friends to a place that will take good care of them.

Quality service is the first step toward referrals, but you can take it one step further.  Studies show that every satisfied customer will tell three people about you.  Can you imagine what would happen if you added a little incentive to the picture?  Give customers who refr friends a thank you. It could be a discount, a special gift item or a simple thank you card. Watch the referrals spiral.

You can also getYou can get two birds with one stone by implimenting customer surveys. Some quick questions about what the customer does or doesn’t like about your product.  You can follow this with a request for the names and addresses of friends and family who would benefit from the product. Now you’re all set with the contact information of a prospective customer.
