As a marketer your number 1 concern is customers.  You have heard a million ideas about how to build relationships, keep your customers, create a list of potential customers, and inspire consumer loyalty. The really tough part of this equation is HOW DO I CONVERT PROSPECTS INTO CUSTOMERS?

There are many people who see your ads, think about them, and possibly even say, “i ought to…”.  They are just wating to be convinced to take action. You can do something to get them moving!

1.  Improve your offer

It is very hard for a person to pass up the deal that is “just too good to resist.” Many times your customers want your product, but want something else a little more. That basically leaves you with big list of “almost sales” that could have potentially been converted into sales and profit. Sweeten the deal.  Make the offer so good they can’t resist it.

I’m not saying that you should lower your price in order to sweeten the deal.  You can just as easily load it up with bonuses to increase the perceived value without cutting away at your profit.  Bonuses motivate sales, maybe even more so than cutting prices.

Don’t let them have time to talk themselves out of what they want to do. You want them to make a decision asap.  They may have to put a competitors purchase on hold to get your deal, but hey… what’s wrong with that?

2.  Follow Up

How would you like to increase your sales by more than 50 percent or more?  It sounds good but can it be done?  A very simple tactic that you can employ can help. That tactic is  Follow Ups.

Perspective customers are probably not going to buy your product the first or second time they see or hear about it. Maybe it’ll be the third or fourth, but they have to hear from you that third or fourth time before they actually become a customer. Do you have a system for follow ups in place?

You can simlpy contact your potential customer every three or four weeks with a new offer, or you can  give them more information about the product they are showing interest in. The main thing is keeping the contact with your potential customer. This will go a long way toward building trust, which is the key to finding lifelong customers.

Internet Marketers experience a high number of customers who browse their site, then click away. It is essential that you have some way to get their contact information. You can offer an informative report or an ebook that that the consumers will find helpful and of intertest. Once they have provided the information to receive the information for you to email them the product, you have what you need to keep in contact, and work on converting them into loyal customers.

You will want to personalize as much as poosible. It would be ideal to obtain their first name. Personalized messages have greater appeal than “addressed to occupant” messages.
